Sweet Mother Logic is an innovative, genre-bending instrumental free-for-all blasting forth cellos and vintage synthesizers at nearly the speed of the rockets that power them. Organs, guitar, bass, drums, and piano complete the unique combination instruments, stirring a wide variety of styles and sounds together to form something encouragingly original. The Montreal band's moody chord progressions, intricate rhythms, and free improvisation collide to release a danceable, high-energy groove that is brimming with intricacy while maintaining a pop sensibility.

After releasing their debut EP, Ascension Island, in 2008, Sweet Mother Logic presents its first self-titled full length album. In contrast to Ascension Island, Sweet Mother Logic follows a narrative thread over 11 instrumental tracks, with ethereal passages giving way sinister electro aided by a small orchestra. To record the album, Sweet Mother Logic turned Montreal’s Oscar Peterson Concert Hall into an elaborate recording studio to fully capture the acoustic complexities central to their sound.
